How to Pick a Toy for Your Partner's Penis

Chances are, you have never really thought about getting a sexual enhancement product for your partner's penis. Sure, maybe you have thought about including your own toys in play, or maybe you have thought about getting a blindfold or a restraint for both of you to use.

But what about a toy specifically for your lover? If you want to pick up a little sexy gift for your partner, (best toys used with lovers) how do you choose? Heck, where do you even begin?

Here’s some helpful advice for picking out a toy for a penis-bearing partner.

What Does Your Lover LOVE?

In order to pick out a toy for your partner, you need to think like them. This means understanding the way they view sex. Is your partner largely visual – meaning they get aroused more by visual stimuli? If so, the item that you choose should appeal to that side of them, especially if your partner has a preference of body part.

Is your lover transfixed by beautiful vaginas, or a perfect ass, or perky breasts? Why is this important? Well, there are many masturbation sleeves that look like mouths, vaginas, boobs, or anal entrances. So, if you know your partner loves vaginas, then picking out a vaginal replica may be the best option. If, however, they seem to have no strong opinion, picking out a jelly feel masturbator would be a good option as well.

Know That Size Plays a Role

With some items – like masturbators, cock rings, or penis pumps – the size of your partner's penis DOES matter – a lot. Cock rings, in particular, pose a challenge when fitting because if your partner is 6 inches or more when erect, then some of the standard penis pumps are not going to fit. There is sizing included on these items for a reason, so make sure you pay attention to that. You don't want to have your partner experiencing pain because their penis is too large for the item you have purchased.

Similarly, cock rings are meant to go around the shaft and balls. If your partner has more girth than average you want to make sure that the ring you choose will fit around them comfortably (or, if your partner is not that large around, you do not want the ring to fall off!) Some cock ring sets come in 3 different sizes, and this might be the way to go.

Buy Something To Stimulate His Prostate

Masturbators are not the only items that are available for men to use – another option is a prostate massager. Prostate massagers go into the anal canal and push on the prostate while you have the option of doing something fun, like giving your partner oral sex or a hand job. Many people find the orgasm that they have when using a prostate massager to be extremely powerful.

However, everyone has different boundaries, and some have a strong opinion about ANYTHING going up their rear end. If this is one of your partner's limitations, then do not buy a toy they will likely never use and may question why you bought it in the first place. Of course, some people do not voice their boundaries, in which case you may have to speculate about their possible enjoyment of the item.

When In Doubt, Buy Some Lube

If you've read our articles before then you've probably heard us say this before, but lubricant is always a good product to bring into the bedroom. Especially if you're buying a masturbator or a prostate massager, buying a small bottle of lube is a great little side gift. Both of those toys need lube to get the best experience possible.

Similarly, masturbation gels or creams can be a fun thing to use, but if your partner doesn’t like anything cold, then a cooling gel may not work out well. The idea here is to think like your lover while you are shopping.

Would a cockring help me stay hard. I have cancer and a Whipple operation. I can get semi hard but not hard enough for intercourse.

My partner is, unfortunately, very difficult to shop for when it comes to toys. He’s picky. It has to be the right material, with the right “feel” to it. So, perhaps even more unfortunately when it comes to masturbators (the only type of toy he’s really shown a personal interest in), sometimes the size or material composition isn’t clear in the description, and the size of the penis it will fit can be even less clear. He’s a fairly “well-endowed” man, both in length & girth, and sadly we’ve gone thru our fair share of seemingly -sturdy masturbators that ended up tearing or failing in the end. Typically he’s attracted to toys that use material that is either soft silicone, or that closely imitates human skin, which makes it especially difficult to find a toy that is both the right size & shape, but also one with the kind of soft, flesh-like material that he enjoys that won’t tear or rip when he attempts to use it. Maybe there are some guys who could chime in on this, because I’m curious to know if this is just our personal experience, or if this is more of an industry-wide phenomenon. Guys tend to like technical details of things, right? I would really like to see on more sites that cater to men & women alike be more descriptive with their products in terms of “this is the kind of sensation it provides” and “can comfortably adjust to men with a width/girth of no more than x-inches and no more than x-inches in length”, as well as more toys that cater to men who are more “well-endowed” than their average-sized counterparts, because as it stands, shopping for the right toy for my partner is like going to a men’s warehouse when you really need to go to a men’s big & tall store. 😮‍💨😂
