How to Feel Sexy When You're Stuck At Home | Social Distancing

It's important to explain that sexy is a FEELING, not a look. Being cooped up with family (or alone) all day, it's so easy to lose the confidence of feeling sexy. Here is a collection of tips and tricks that may help you feel sexy again! 

# 1 Tip: Get your mindset right

Start by waking up in the morning and telling yourself whatever it is you'd like to believe. It doesn't have to be based on "looks" either. Just pick 1 or 2 things you want to put out into the "universe." Don't overcomplicate things or look up best mantras, affirmations, quotes, whatever you'd like to call it!

One of my personal favorites is:

  • I am in charge of how I feel and today I am happy, loved and content with my life.

Sometimes throughout the day, I'll just say in my head, "I am in charge of how I feel." and I"ll analyze how I am feeling in that moment. If I feel anxious or overwhelmed, I just change my mindset to, "I am in control."

Put on a comfortable and matching outfit if possible

Most of us are snacking extra right now and for a lot of us, sitting in jeans all day can be uncomfortable. Instead of throwing on an old t-shirt and old pants, put on some comfortable dark leggings paired with a cute sweater or blouse!

Do your hair and make-up

With youtube being so big nowadays, makeup and hair application has gotten to be very overwhelming. Simply tying your hair back or a simple side braid can be enough to make you feel "finished." Keep makeup simple, maybe just a gloss and some concealer can boost your confidence big time!

Get in a workout

I'm a strong believe that a quick 5 minute walk or workout can boost your productivity and mood. Put on a podcast and just go for a casual walk in the afternoon! If it isn't nice outside or if you have limited areas to walk, just do a quick set of 10-20 jumping jacks! The purpose is to keep it as simple as possible!

Prioritize your hygiene

I've personally gone a few too many days without washing my hair during this time. Taking a shower and putting on moisturizer has made a world of difference in my mood!

Stick to a routine

It is so easy to lose yourself and become completely overwhelmed with everything going on. Spend some time researching some work-from-home routines and try sticking to it! Even if you are only halfway successful, or only follow-through for a day, try creating your own. Keep things simple!
