Browse Carrie’s Closet: Inside NYC’s Sex & The City Immersive Experience
As many patiently wait for the release of season 2 of the beloved ‘Sex and the City’ sequel, ‘And Just Like That,’ HBO Max has decided to bless us with a complete immersive experience to not only promote the new season but celebrate the show's 25th anniversary.
The immersive pop-up took place in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood from June 8th to June 11th and was formally titled, “And Just Like That…It’s Been 25 Years, A Sex and the City Experience.” The event featured two once-in-a-lifetime photo ops: “one on the stoop of Carrie’s famous brownstone and one at the desk in her apartment,” (Mass, 2023, p. 6).
Most notably though, fans were able to quite literally step inside Carrie’s closet with montages of her most prized outfits lining the walls. The immersive experience also included a break-up post it wall, a gift shop with 25th anniversary merch, and vodka bar where you can order Carrie’s cosmo.
