Whether it’s foreplay or just old-school, sensual romance, nothing beats an amazing body massage. Especially one that includes the works: aromatherapy, perfect lighting, and getting into that oh-so-perfect, romantic mood.
Kama Sutra’s Love Lights Massage Candle Trio is the little package that has it all ready to go. The three tropical scents included, Tahitian Sandalwood, Coconut Pineapple, and Island Passion are all wondrously soothing. My personal favorite was the Coconut Pineapple since it is a very subtly sweet smell, which is exactly the type of scent that I find the most relaxing. After giving all of the candles an obligatory test-sniff, (because who are you kidding, who isn’t going to check them all out first chance?) then you get to set the mood with a little romantic lighting by going ahead and setting your favorite up for a low burn for a few minutes.
After about 20 to 30 minutes the candle will be melted enough and be ready to go. Just extinguish the flame and let the candle rest for a moment before applying to yourself or your partner. Since the Kama Sutra Love Lights set is a coconut oil based candle, it burns at a lower temperature than regular candles, so you don’t have to worry about burns or too much heat from the wax.
The smell of the candles definitely lingers after it’s been massaged onto any skin. Though it had faded significantly, it was still detectable on my body a full day later. At that point I had showered and the smell went away, though I’m sure it would have lingered longer if I had chosen to allow it.
Absolutely nothing is more relaxing and romantic than receiving a massage with a well-chosen oil. Though even if you don’t have a partner, I found these candles were great for massaging the oil into my hands when I am stressed after a long day. I end up smelling the back of my hands all evening afterwards and it’s definitely calming. So even if you’re partner isn’t interested in massages, or you don’t have a partner, you can still fully enjoy this candle trio.
