How many times have you been watching an adult feature and
seen the actors doing some totally OUTRAGEOUS position that
is very good for the camera, but you KNOW would be very bad
on your back? You know the ones – contorted bodies,
upside down, or bodaciously awkward. Do people REALLY do these
positions when they are not being filmed? Some people do –
so why not discuss them? Here are some PORN POSITIONS that
I have found particularly interesting, perplexing, unusual

BACKWARD FROG HOP
Here is one that I see a lot on adult features – I call
it the ‘Backward Frog Hop.’ Commonly done on a
bed, the man leans against a wall or headboard, while his
female partner mounts him facing his feet. Instead of getting
on her knees, she stays up on her feet and spreads her legs
in some outrageously wide position, then leans back and puts
her hands on his chest. He then pounds her from below as she
tries desperately NOT to fall over. This is a great position
for the camera – seeing every, long, deep thrust. However,
you would have to be fairly strong, flexible and devoted to
do this position in real life.
A variation on this is when the woman puts her feet up on
his thighs! I mean, come on – why in the world would
you do this? I have seen a few women doing this on screen
and wonder “why, why, why?” I suppose the answer
is, it gives her some stability to move her bottom as well
as a nice wide spread eagle camera shot. To each his or her
own, but I am sure she is not doing that position at home!
BALLERINA BONK
While I have no problems having sex standing up – in
fact, I was very much in favor of it when I was more ‘petite’-
there is a particular porn position that I find over the top.
The woman stands on one foot, the other leg raised up and
behind her in a sort of ‘ballerina pose’- sometimes
she hold the foot- while the man enters her either vaginally
or anally and she balances on this one foot while the man
has his way with her, usually by holding on to her waist.
This position allows the camera to get down low and see the
action from a sort of underside position. While this position
looks interesting on film – I assure you, it is very
uncomfortable.
INVERTED 96
If you thought a 69 could only be done on the floor or bed
think again baby! Yes, I have seen this fab position a few
times in a couple of films and let me tell you – it
is not for the weak (or the vertigo challenged!) The man sits
on the couch while the woman puts her nether area up to his
mouth (as with a typical 69) as she puts her mouth on his
penis. She is essentially kneeling on the top of the couch,
while lowering herself DOWN the couch to his penis. She is
upside down, balancing on her hands while trying to steady
herself, give him oral lovin’ AND enjoy what is being
done to her. This position requires strength, flexibility
and a determination to be acrobatic. I refuse to try this
position as I am sure my head would hit the floor –
followed swiftly by the rest of me – and the mood would
be ruined! Hats off to those few women I have seen do it!
THE HEAD DROP
This is a very popular porno position – the female begins
by lying on her back and the male (who is standing above her)
grabs her by her bottom and brings her up to meet his penis.
She has to rest on her shoulders, with her hands behind her
back for support, as the man thrusts into her from above.
This position can be used anally or vaginally, requires a
bit of stamina from both partners. While during a porn film
this position is great for camera shots – the woman
is exposed and a full shot of penetration can be obtained
– in real life this position would rarely be done –
and not for too long a time. The blood rushing to the woman’s
head may be an added bonus though.
If you want to get REALLY intense, the woman can literally
stand on her head, using her arms to brace herself. The man
holds onto her hips and legs and enters her from above as
before. She can bend her legs around his waist for extra stability.
This position is VERY acrobatic – and I have only seen
it once or twice in a film and the woman didn’t seem
to be enjoying it – regardless of her moans and groans.
CRAZY COUCH
I love having sex on the couch – riding my hubby while
he sits comfortably – perhaps watching an adult feature.
However, I have never had the urge to literally fall down
onto the floor? Who would do this? Porn actresses of course!
This is how you do it: the man sits on the couch – the
woman mounts him, facing toward him, then she leans back in
a back-bendish type of motion until her head is down by the
floor. The man can lean forward on the couch, fondle her breasts
or clit and the woman is basically supported by the man who
holds her tight AND tries to keep the action going. This position
obviously provides for a great visual look at the woman and
at the penetration. While I will not be doing this position
any time soon, I am sure it has some redeeming qualities.
UPWARD FACING DOGGY
OK, so we all know what doggy style is, but what does it become
when doggy turns into….upward facing dog? You have seen
it, the couple starts in doggy – standard hands and
knees – and then the guy sort of ‘lifts her up’
to him and they end up kneeling. It looks a bit awkward, but
as I have tried this position, I can say that the stretching
of the vaginal lips and the clitoris makes for a nice ride.
It is hard to stay up like that, but it can be a transition
position. For porn purposes, this position offers a nice camera
shot of the woman in a compromising position.
ANTI-ZEPELLIN
OK, I know, you are wondering about this title…I couldn’t
resist. We have all probably either had sex on the stairs
OR thought about having sex on the stairs OR seen someone
having sex on the stairs. This is not an uncommon position.
However, in porn movies sex on the stairs takes on a whole,
new realm! You know what I mean, totally naked, spread eagle
on the stairs – literally laying down against the stairs
while her partner (of either gender) goes at her orally or
vaginally. Why is this so unique? Well, have you ever lain
on stairs before? I have – it HURTS! I do not care how
soft the carpet, it is never a thrill to be boned on the stairs.
If you kneel on the stairs –great. IF you put one foot
on the stairs – great. Lying on the stairs – no!
So, this position is definitely NOT a stairway to heaven (get
the title now???)
TRY THIS AT HOME….OR NOT
It is true that these positions are not for just porn actors
– ‘regular’ folks can take pride in performing
porno style – if they so desire. As someone who has
tried these positions (some of them) I can definitely say
that it is harder than it looks on screen! While these gals
may be screaming and moaning in supposed ecstasy, I can say
this – the average gal is going to be screaming too,
but not in pleasure – in PAIN! This, of course, is a
generalization. There probably are some ladies and gents out
there who enjoy this odd positions. Good for you! You go girls
and guys! However, for me, I think I will stick to some good
favorites, and a few advanced positions and leave these to
the porno professionals!
