I’m beginning to think of myself as domestic: I’m cooking meals rather than heating microwave dinners, I'm enjoying cleaning my house, and I’ve been known to get giddy over house ware markdowns. Although it is 2004, there remains a stigma when it comes to purchasing sexual merchandise. I haven’t had the opportunity to attend a home party—YET—but I know many women who have. While each party was slightly different all were a derivative of a basic formula. Most people have told me that by ordering in a separate room with the party rep, no one had to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. I’ve also been told that when wine or cocktails were served at the parties it made it easier to sideline stodgy inhibitions. More questions were asked and discussions flowed when people felt more at ease.
