I love my clitoris and I love my orgasm
I just had an orgasm but it probably doesn’t matter. It kills me to even admit that, but according to some scientists it might be true.

While enjoying my Sunday morning coffee I flipped through the newspaper until my eyes wandered to an article about female orgasms. The article rationalized the importance of the clitoris and the female orgasm. A variety of scientists over the years have done tests and conducted research about whether or not the female orgasm has any real purpose. Read that again please…”whether or not the female orgasm has any real purpose.” That’s about the point that I set the paper down and shook my head in one of those they’ve-got-to-be-kidding ways.

Did you know that studies have shown that an orgasm can be more relaxing than a tranquilizer? How’s that for purpose? You can chose between a pill and an orgasm—each will bring you to some level of relaxation. You better believe I’m going the more natural route. I bet you didn’t know that orgasms can increase the possibility of conception. There is a suction effect when a female reaches an orgasm which can draw sperm into the uterus.

One of my favorite books is Sadie Allison’s, Tickle Your Fancy, which focuses on female masturbation and the goal of an orgasm. Sadie explains about a variety of female orgasms: the clitoral orgasm, the vaginal orgasm, the g-spot orgasm, female ejaculation, and the multiple/sequential orgasm. I’d be hard pressed to find a woman who didn’t find purpose in at least one of these pleasures.

I love my clitoris and I love my orgasms! They bring such pleasure and if scientists think that doesn’t count for a purpose may I continue down my sexual road to nowhere!
